It's a start

Hey everyone,

I am new to this and do not know much about blogging, but following my amazing, rambling, friend Kris and his adventures that he writes about, I have decided to take up blogging.  My adventure will be nowhere near what he is up to out west but as summer soon approaches I find myself adding more and more to "my list" of things to do for the summer.  As of right now, here is what is on my agenda for the summer besides work, basically all the fun stuff I have planned for the summer break.

- Visit Kris in Truckee CA.  Which is right near Lake Tahoe and is surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery found in the continental U.S.
-Hiking is my new gig, and not just hiking but a hobby called High-pointing.  The Superior Hiking Trail is hosting a summer-long adventure series in which you must Summit 7 different mountains along the trail.  I hope to accomplish this with the help from my fellow First Ascent and Eddie Bauer associate, Jake.  Upon completion of the Summits, you will receive a SPH poster, which is a consolation prize because the real prize will be the memories and scenery that we get to experience.
-Grandmas Marathon is June 18, I feel like I do not need to remark about this weekend and will leave you with just three words - Hoser Convention Blackout.
-The Pine County Fair - Oh how I love that weekend, as you all might be well aware I love to host extreme events in which many of my friends will do crazy shananagans.  This year at the PCF will be no exception.  I am currently employing options to make this year even more successful than last, which will be hard to do because Horton almost died.... twice.  Once from alcohol poisoning and the other from a tornado.  I have invited everyone to come up and join in on the festivities, we tent out, drink on the DV Cheryl Kay, watch the derby (kinda) and drink hella beer.  Lets just say the preparations have already begun.
-Other than some of those larger things I have planned I intend to play lots of Golf, visit friends in the cities, make a trip up to the BWCA, visit Danny's cabin, go to Mackinac Island, and end the summer off with our yearly August Trip to Nodak for early goose hunting.

I hope everyone had an relaxing Easter weekend.  I had a great time on Grants party bus which was named the Beaver Retriever, (and yes there were some Beves that were retrieved.)  Molly dragged me out last night to see Eric Herzog, which turned into one hell of a night, I am pretty sure that some MJ dancing was involved, and it was great to see some of the old friends from high school, some of which I realized I had not seen in nearly 2+ years.
Anyway, I better get going, we have Easter dinner at Brants house tonight and I finally get to enjoy some good home cooked food.  Thanks for tuning in.  Stay classy San Diego.
